So I always liked the original Megaman Legends game, because it has such an original style. And I wondered, "Would this look good as a Minecraft Skin?" I went to the Modelers Resource and downloaded the model and just started eyedropping colors, and ended up with the 100% faithful Megaman Legends Minecraft Skin!

The original texture. I was genuinely surprised to discover that his entire texture fits into just 512 pixels! Here's what it looks like opened up in Aseprite.
Every skin starts with the face. I always tackle the head and "hat" layer first — it's the part players notice most, so it sets the tone for everything else.
From there, I usually move to the body, then arms and legs — but this time I switched things up and jumped straight to the arms.
The final step is always Blockbench. I pull the skin into this 3D modeling tool to preview how everything comes together on the actual model. It's where you catch all the little details that don't show up in a flat texture.
